Super A with 3 point hitch?

So I am wondering a bit about the old Super A tractors...

Having always dreamed of an International 140, how does the predecessor stack up? They're allot more common.

Mainly thinking about picking back up in truck farming a little. Potatoes, Sweet corn, etc. Really would like to have a single row type tractor. I know the old A has no lift on the rear. I'd like to use more modern attachments/tool bars, etc.

I've seen some retrofit 3pt hitches for the super A's online. They're not crazy expensive, but wonder how they perform?

Anyone have/use an A with a 3 point? Does it work out ok? Lift capacity? Any negatives?

Thinking I could use modern hillers/bedders/cultivators a little easier. For now it's just a thought.

I don't have one with it on but do have a 130 & 140 with Fast Hitch. I've read where the geometry isn't perfect, but it works. The 130 & 140 both have a lift assist spring to give it a little umph when picking implements up, but if you stay with light implements, like 1 row equipment you'll probably be alright.

The touch control mechanism is fairly heavy duty for what it's intended for with the lift assist spring helping to start lifting an implement but without it I'm thinking it could put a lot of stress on the rockshaft arm. Shock load from bouncing would probably be the worst. Otherwise take your time and it ought to work fine.

Hopefully someone who actually has one will chime in here before long.

They make a Farmall hydraulic block which bolts into the original hydraulic system to provide a remote hydraulic connection. It's made for the super A , C etc.
