I own a John Deere Gator and also have been my own contractor on home constructions. I cannot visualize how a Gator could be of great assistance when building a home. Sure you can haul or move something from one loccation to another after loading. The loading is what will get you. Now a tractor with a loader and maybe a backhoe would be of great assistance. I find it easier to pick something up with a loader and move it than manually pick it up, load it into the Gator then unload it from the Gator. If it was me I would look at a new or used tractor. I never realized how much lifting was required or how many holes one has to dig in the ground during new home construction until I started manning the shovel. A small tractor with a loader and backhoe can move construction debris, dig holes for trees and shrubs, pick up materials, bricks rocks etc and other jobs and tasks to numerous to name. The Gator can transport something from point A to B after you load it.
