Need info MF 243

Hi everyone I am new to this. My question . I am looking at a 2001 MF243 with 500 hrs on it It has a fel. Can anyone tell me if these are good machines or what to look for? All I have been able to find is that they went out of production around 2004. This is a 2 wheel drive also. Asking $13,000 Thanks I am in Tennessee.

An excellent tractor. They are updated versions of the MF35, MF135. That is one model that I wish they still built but they quit building them when they shut down their Coventry UK plant. I would think that that price is way to high but I haven't kept up with them for a while.

Rick, I have a 2001 mf243 and I am amazed at it's ability to work beyond it's design standards. It is an outstanding and extremely reliable machine. I can't speak to your price, but I would recommend the four wheel drive variant over the two wheel. The four can do far more pushing and dragging work than the two.
