Need Help!

I have a mahindra 3016 manual shift 4x4 tractor- when you engage the PTO, the shaft doesnt turn. Its seems to be going into gear because you cant turn the shaft when you engage the pto. I have checked the fuse and its good . I was wondering could it be a pto solnoid switch . Any ideas???

You may want to edit your post so the title is more descriptive, like pto not engaging or something like that.

Is it the pto splined shaft on the tractor or the attached implement shaft not running? If its the implement shaft you may have a busted shear bolt.

Sounds like the shear bolt. Have to line up the holes and put one in.

It is the PTO shaft coming out the tractor. If you take all the PTO out of gear you can spin it with one hand , put it in gear and you cant turn it . Like its going in gear but whenyou try to use it nothing turns>
