Tractor Sizing Need help picking the right Cub

That kind of made me curious as to why the 2900/3200 could not take a front snowblower. There must be provisions to mount the blade; is there no PTO for the front? What PTO does the 2450 run it's blower from? Just wondering if someone real familiar with the machines would know if it is any way possible to mount a blower on the 2900/3200.

I'd say theres a pretty good chance you can. The front hitch shown on the 3200 "looks" like the one I have on my older cub. If so, it's the standard hitch you can put a blower on. You'd have to get a intermediate gearbox that mounts on the hitch, and then a long driveshaft back to the tractor mower PTO. Cub still sells these for the 6000 series, (just bought a few) but dont know if its the right length driveshaft.....might have to be modified. All in All, I'd say it can be done!

Thanks scoutcub. I'm thinking I should be able to mount a snowblower on one of the larger tractors. If it bolts up or is close to bolting up I can make or adapt a bracket as needed. I like the size of the 2450 but am thinking maybe go with the larger tractor for a little more size, weight, and digging power. I'm going to go test drive both and see.

I can’t find the SB52 Snowblower on the site either so I believe someone is lagging.
I thought I heard that the SB52 was intended for the 2450 thru the 3200 but I could be wrong.
If the SB52 IS intended for the larger tractor too then it must be a rugged unit and should last me until the end of life… does anyone know when that is, 2012, maybe 2060.

I was told by a dealer that the the SB52 was far all new Cub/Yanmar tractors.

The SB52 fits the Sc2400, Sc2450 and the Sx3100.

not sure if you have your question answered or not ,the sb-52 is for the sc-2400,2450,and sx3100 tractors , the earlier sb-45 unit was troublesome and will be discontinued .
The new sb52 is constructed of better materials and thicker gauge steel and has proved to be more than up to the task and seen by this years snowload:thumbsup:
