So the 48" Brush Hog is up front and run by hydraulics? I like the idea of it being up front but I can imagine that the cost of a hydraulic unit must be a lot more than a pto model.

Actualy they are not and they do not have many "wear" parts because they are driven buy hydralic fluid.

Yep! Everything is up front. The brush hog was $900.00. I can install it or remove it in less than 1 minute. Just two hydraulic quick connects. Can't do that with a 3pt hitch. The 60" finish mower is the same way. It was $1200.00. Power angle snow blade was $450.00. Compare those prices and they are usually less expensive than the big 3.
Everything attaches to the front loader arms(which come with the tractor). And non-powered implements can be changed in as little as 15 seconds with out getting off of the tractor. That's disconnect one implement, drive over to another implement and connect it and be ready to use it in 15 seconds. It really boosts productivity and the front mount means no more strained neck and better control.

Hi Becca, I've got near to about the same amount of grass to cut that you do. I have about 3 acres here at my place, and an 1 1/2 at my parents. I found a used TC21d with FEL, and 60" MMM for $13,500. Its perfect for me. The other tractors you mentioned are also good choices. The BX would be a little nicer if you have a lot of tight areas. You've got some great advice here from all who posted. I wish you good luck whatever you decide. Kent
