Need help on pond aeration

I'm a big fan of pond aeration. It helps the water quality tremendously and hence everything that resides in the pond.

I use and really like the rubber membrane diffusers from Vertex. They are maintenance free. Coupled with small compressors that are designed for continuous 24/7 operation, you can have a very dependable, very low maintenance system for many many years.

I just thought I'd add here that the official recommendation for watermeal is 1.5 quarts of Sonar per 4 acre-feet. A gallon of Sonar is about $1600 plus tax, so you can do the math as far as cost.

Oh absolutely, I understand. My business is taking care of ponds and lakes and I've learned never to underestimate how far people are willing to go to fix a problem. What might seem like an unreasonable cost to some is no problem for most pondowners, as long as the results are satisfactory.
