I'm just outside Charlotte. Got my BX24 to do some serious (I mean serious) landscaping work. No problems with ground clearance or otherwise. Loader lifts everything I need except a full cube of brick pavers. Hoe digs just fine. Pulls a garden plow with no problem. Mows like a champ. Don't let anyone tell you a BX with a MM won't mow a field that only gets it twice a year! I wouldn't want to tackle trees and rocks but tall grass is certainly no challenge.

I use the FEL to change out the MMM on my 7510. Piece of cake! Leave yourself plenty of floor space to roll her out.
I suppose w/o a FEL you could use a floor jack.

Hi,

Don't know what shipping would be like but there is an 04 7610 loader\backhoe\loader tires that is in " perfect " condition here for an ask of
17K. Well known and well thought of dealer.

Here : Emerich Sales & Service, Inc. - Used KUBOTA Models

Good luck on your choices

When you're working in the dirt you will want a MMM off the tractor as it is the clearance limiting item when it's mounted. For all that is written about how easy the MMM goes on and off, there are equal entries about what a pain it is to take on and off.

My suggested decision points on the matter are pretty simple. The MMM benefits over RFM are in visibility and manueverability. If you can live with the RFM is these areas go RFM, save the money and laugh at the guy saying that MMM installation is so easy. Another RFM plus is that maintenance is a breeze as the zerks & transmission are always accessible where the MMM guys have to pull the mower. You can also use the tractor to lift the RFM to get the blades off for sharpening without removing the RFM.

This is all coming from somebody who owns an MMM and paid the extra dough for the mid-PTO option to power it. Given the same buying decision again it would be an RFM.

I bought my tractor about 1 year after my property and new I was going to buy 1. I also needed a lawn cutter immediately after I bought the place & that is how I wound up with my Cub cadet. In retrospect it turned out to be a great combination and if I was doing it again the only thing I would do different is to buy a bigger cub cadet 2000 series. My lawn tractor is also my snow blower. This is the reality, the cub cadet is cheaper than the MMM and I have a 50 inch deck and you can get the 54 as well. It is light and very maneuverable. The snow thrower was less than $1500 with soft cab, chains and ballast. It also leaves my Kubota set up for what I bought it for. A 2 wheel drive lawn tractor will always out cut a large tractor and do a nicer job. If I didn't live in snow country I would buy a zero turn mower for 3 grand or so. The convenience of owning the 2 over 1 that will do both for the same money or less for me is a very big plus. That is my perspective on the way I deal with the same situation

I've got the smallest of all, a BX1500 with the FEL.
I cannot believe what that thing will do, and has done.
I've got the 48" deck, because I have over 50 trees on my 1 1/4 acre lot.
Mows great, lots of power (for 48" anyway) and while the FEL is small, it does what I need it to do. I'm not suggesting that you go find a 1500, just that if you are using the tractor for mostly grass, don't sell those BX's short. They have a super tight turning radius as well, which is great for mowing around trees.
All cast iron, solid.

I just got back from test driving the 7610 HST. I am going with the 7610. Its fit me well and I felt comfortable with the size. Now I just have to decide on mower (mid or rear).

Whats RFM do you all recommend? I have a quote on the BEFCO and Woods. How is First Choice in comparison?

thanks again.

Jay

First guys...thanks for all your advice and thanks for answering all my questions.

Second....Christmas has come early. :D I have taken the plunge and now I am waiting on my B7610HST w/R4 tires,352 FEL and 60" mmm.

They had to order the 352 loader and mower. I was told I should get it the week after Thanksgiving at the latest. I know how you all feel now with the waiting game.

Yeah, I have been reading up on those. I guess most people are going with the Markham toothbar?

BTW...what other things should I get to help, like quick attach 3ph stuff, etc?
