i remember seeing some posts here somewhere regarding the pto not working when you turn it on. well i haven't used mine in a month or more, and sure enough, last night i went to use it and it wouldn't turn on. can someone send me a picture of where to find the spot underneath the tractor, where i find the bad connection that you have to sometimes tweak when this happens? i don't remember the name of the spot as you can tell! is there some sort of preventative maintinance to prevent this from happening again in the future? i'm sure using it more would probably help! thank you all for your help in advance!

The thread is called 3510 PTO not working... I found it by going through Galens posts. Took me about 30 seconds. I was going to put in a hyperlink, but don't know how... :(

It's too bad there isn't a way to make that "sticky". I've got it bookmarked and will post when I next see this question.

lol.. NOw how do you do that? I was looking in the FAQ's and did not find it.... which may further demonstrate my ineptitude... :)

I just copied and pasted the address line. There may be another way but, I'm not sure how to do it.

Here's a manual method:

Change {} to square brackets.

It works like this

yeah, Bodie could figure it out....but i remember seeing that thread on this problem here before. i knew it was an easy fix, so i wasn't going to trailer it down when i could do it myself. i talked with Galen on the phone and got the directions that way. the problem is fixed! thanks for your help!

Look under your rt side foot rest and you will see a square block and a wire & screw attached to it. Take the screw out and clean the wire and the block to make a good ground connection. If this doesn't solve your problem on the rear edge of the block you will see the solonoid which has a wire going to it. Look on the front of the block directly in front of the solonoid there is a hex head plug. Take out the plug being careful not to lose the spring inside and stick a screw driver in the hole to push the solonoid back. Spray a little light lubricant in the hole and put the spring & plug back. I believe this should solve your PTO problem.

This is something I found in a short search.
