here's a shout out to all the players on TBN, I hope you don' mind one more Texan in the sandbox. I' ve owned a Kubota B8200 w FEL and Shredder for 5or6 years and am just now beginning to have minor problems, this ugly duckling of mine is what I call a water dog,in fact it actually fell or rather driven into my pond by my BIL and had to have the D950 totally rebuilt......it did have close to 4,000 hrs on it, it now has about 50 hours. Yesterday, my buddy (Leo,ace airplane mechanic) and I rebuilt the alternator on the Kubota....the bearings had seized up. We used his press and had the job done in about 30 minutes, three bearings at the bearing store cost $15 and are readily available most anywhere, savings, about $100, well worth the time and effort. I'm off to the autozone to buy a fan belt, and I'll have her running in about 30 minutes, got 15 acres to mow.
