Is there any reason to spend extra on a Kubota Fuel filter when NAPA has a cross referenced part number for a NAPA filter that is less expensive?

It's only about $10 difference but if the performance is the same........??

Napa generally has a good reputation with filters, but there is usually no way to be certain that aftermarket filters meets OEM specifications. Messicks Equipment did an interesting YouTube video comparing aftermarket to Kubota filters a while ago. It was not very scientific, but some of the aftermarket filters appeared pretty low quality.
That said, I do use aftermarket oil and fuel filters on all of my engines. I generally stay with OEM filters for hydraulic applications. The aftermarket filters I personally consider to be quality are Napa, Baldwin, Fleetguard (Cummins) and Cat.

I may have to knock Napa off my quality filter list.

The video left me wondering too.....especially as I always use the Gold on our D5......and on the transport for it.

Meanwhile, many many farmers are using NAPA filters, without any problems at all! Me included!

I saw a video on Kubota's filter and aftermarket and none of them (the ones selected) even came close. I would not exchange a $10 savings vs a mechanical problem.

I've got 3 diesel trucks. A diesel skid steer and a diesel tlb. All using wix filters for years with no known fuel or oil issues

I've been using NAPA filters on my little 1985 Kubota G5200 for a long time. Guess I'll have to quit now...;)

I have used NAPA Gold filters for many years on various pieces of equipment and was generally satisfied with them.
However that said I got the NAPA gold fuel filter for my RAM 1500 Eco Diesel, I installed one to replace an oem filter,
It is coming up for another change and the second NAPA filter that I got at the same time will be staying on the shelve
and I'll be swinging by the dealer to get the oem filter it looked and felt to be substantially better, needless to say I was
disappointed with the NAPA filter for that application.
