Oil & Fuel NAPA fuel filter not fitting

I've been using NAPA fuel filter #3262 for my 1500D. Recently, these fitlers don't want to fit into the fuel bowl. Two questions:
1) anyone else having problems?

2) what filters are you using?

You probably need a new bowl. I dont know how but they shrink. We get several tractors in like that. Even the glass bowls.

You didn't lose your "O" ring, did you? The NAPA 3262 fits my YM2000B, ( if I put the "O" ring back in).

I think aaron is probably right. I do have the o ring.

How can a glass bowl shrink? I could see it on a plastic one, or maybe even polycarbonate, but real glass?

I wondered the same thing. You can tell they have shrank though by the hourglass shape. There would be no way to get the filter in there had it come that way. I'll see if I can get a picture of one.

I couldn't get the filter in either, so I scrapped the whole thing and put a racor filter on mine....spins off, has a drain on the bottom, and I just feel better about it

Why doesn't it fit, too long, too wide?
