My thoughts on the 990 after 7 months, 50 hours

Thanks for the info on the 990. I just purchased one, but have not taken delivery. I am unsure which tires to get the Agriculture R1's or the Industrial R4's. I will be doing some front loader work, rear box blade, but mostly rotary cutting about 35 acres. I have a couple of low wet spots, but can wait to cut when the areas are dry. What do you recommend?

I'm not sure I can recommend a particular tire type - depends on your local soil type, use, preference, etc. I have, and would only ever have, R1 AG tires. For me, traction is what it's all about and I don't care about making ruts, compacting the grass, etc. R1's give the best traction overall and don't load up so much with mud, so that's what I've got. Even with the R1's, the 990 can easily spin all 4 tires and dig itself down, so smoother tires just wouldn't cut it for me.

If your machine is coming with R1's, I would say try them for a while rather than having them changed before delivery.
