No, I was saying that this machine is often overlooked by those looking for right "tractor" to perform a list of tasks. My main use is brush hogging, second would be maintenance of wooded trails. I never knew these existed when I was tractor shopping but would appear to be better suited to my main uses, perhaps much better than the "best tractor for the job" that I wound up buying. The Telehandler seems to tick a lot of boxes in your list of requirements.
That is definitely what you call "outside the box thinking"

Check out the link in @Xfaxman's signature... incredible machine. I wish I had seen that before buying my Kioti... I may have went that route.

Compact Telehandler, V417 is the link:

Toolcat 5610 is my suggestion:

Same brush hog different machines (y).

The compact telehandler will run the flail, here it is on the newer V519:

Just read all 9 pages. And I am still confused about exactly what you are looking for.

But I think you are getting on the right track with sizing.

Your mistake is trying to compare a Deere 3000 series or a Kubota lx with a Ford 3000.

A Ford 3000 would compare to a mx, large grand L or Deere 4000 series.

Quit using the terminology like utility, compact utility, and mid size utility. There are no hard and fast rules that define those sizes.

Rather look at 3 things to get a "feel" for tractor size. 1. Weight 2. Tire size 3. Wheelbase. And rest assured there are dozens of models today that compare real nicely to a 3000....with similar HP.

Another thing to consider is that HST tractors are less pto HP than their gear siblings. So while you are glazing over looking at specs...this may be some of your confusion about today's tractors being under powered.

But in general....tractors of today are a higher HP/weight than tractors of the past. The 3000 ford was known as a high HP to weight machine. But even it can be best today with several models that have a higher HP to weight ratio.
What I am exactly looking for is what is being offered in Europe. Kubota is selling the Brits a LX tractor that's a 40hp tractor with 33 PTO hp and offering a front mount PTO. In your own words, "a high HP to weight machine".

Ok if money was no object then this would be the ultimate grass cutting machine for me:

A guy that I met and spoke to this week sells them and they are nothing short of remarkable in what they can do.

Do you want a front PTO, or a front 3ph?

Neither are common in this country. There is just not enough demand. If someone wants to run front implements, they typically get some kind of tool carrier. IE, the toolcats, telehandlers, dingos, skidloader, etc. Maybe those aren't as common over in the EU.

But finding a smallish sub-3000 pound tractor of 40+ HP is pretty easy.

Still not exactly sure what you want and are gonna do other than rant in here about how great Europe tractors are and american ones suck.

You point out a europe model Kubota that would be "what you want" and I could point you a comparable one here and you'd still not be happy. It might be a whopping 150# more or might have 1.5hp less or something.

You started this thread talking about 3700 pound tractors and 50ish pto HP. Now you are wanting a 2200 pound 33pto hp machine. At this point I don't think you even know what you are after

I agree. And just how much money are you ready to invest in what you want? If you have an unlimited budget, get a European tractor and be done with it. That "perfect" machine you posted has several competitive like makes and models that are readily available in the US and have been offered to you as suggesstions. None of those options are cheap, especially if you buy new.

If you're hard set on front PTO/ 3 point, look up Zuidberg. Available for many brands, including Kubota.

Hey thanks for the recommendation Bavarian. I have actually already started communicating with them.

Kubota may provide a more reliable front PTO mechanism, relative to aftermarket.

At the beginning of this thread you expressed some concern over your tractor budget. Your front PTO "dream tractor" or tele handler is closing in on $90,000. Maybe not quite there yet, but getting close.........
