I was having fun outdoors until I got stuck!! I was pulling the blade down the driveway and got sucked into the slight ditch and slid down it to the horse fence at the bottom of it. I had to pull it back up the slight embankment with my truck and resume. Not very fun!!

If you're still deciding about chains, I can tell you from my experiences that last winter I didn't have chains, and this winter I did. It's like a night and day difference! In addition to a much more sure-footed stance on slight inclines and declines around the ditches, etc. I'd also say I gained an extra 40% pulling/pushing ability with the blade for snow removal.

Actually....I was quite warm all bundled up like that. And yes, I was having fun outdoors until I got stuck!! I was pulling the blade down the driveway and got sucked into the slight ditch and slid down it to the horse fence at the bottom of it. I had to pull it back up the slight embankment with my truck and resume. Not very fun!!

Everybody gets stuck some time or another. Those R-4's are great tires, but once the snow packs the lugs, the traction is not as good. I've been lucky enough to be able to use the loader to "walk" the tractor out when I get stuck.

Enjoy your 790! Great machines!
