Here is a closer view of the tool tray. I wanted to go the full 60" all the way along the back but that would have been too time consuming. I'm just glad I was determined enough to make any size tool tray, I know I would have regretted not having one.

Here is the removable safety rail setup. I welded on some of the same 1" square tubing that I used for the door and have some 1/2" gavanized pipe going through it.

Here is the galvanized tubing with the end cap screwed on. This was the best setup I could come up with to easily add or remove the safety rail to the front. I'm glad I got talked out of welding the expanded metal on the front, I know there will be times that I want the front to be open.

Great job, looks really good. Just a thought on your saftey rails. You might want to squirt some oil, grease, WD40, etc. on the threads from time to time, to keep any rust from binding up your caps. Would be a pain to be up in the air and try to remove one of the rails to access whatever you are working on, only to find it rusted and need to go back down to get a pipe wrench.

Looks like the only thing you need now is someone you can trust on the FEL controls to raise and lower while you are working.

Very nice, professional job! Yours looks too good to use! I need to consider some refinements on mine when I have the time. You will find it very useful, especially when you have someone helping you on a project. I frequently use mine by myself and use a ladder to get in the lift. Once in place however, a workable platform is much better than a ladder and safer. Enjoy.

Great job Spencer. You have motivated me.

I think I'll modify my front deck to have a work platform also. For those considering one, check out.

http://www.arrowforklift.com/forklift-work-platforms.html

It has some good hand rail and toe board dimensions and strength requirements from OSHA requirements.

My front deck fits into the receiver that is part of my bumper. The deck can be removed with one pin. So far it has not run into the ground, so it has stayed on the tractor.

With a removeable guard rails and fork tubes it will double as a lift. The loader I want is a Kubote LA1162, which is mechanically self leveling. Raising the loader will keep the work platform level!

This is my front deck. It fits into the receiver. The orange bumper is not part of the deck. I'll add fork tubes and a hand rail.
