My NX6010

Just seeing the Name PJ on your trailer gets my blood boiling. I have a 2011 PJ Deck Over Dump with drop sides (14 foot long goose neck). It has NEVER been in salt and is babied beyond belief. After one year and one month the paint started coming off in sheets! Now, much of the paint is gone and it is a rust bucket. It has only been used for light stuff like bales of straw, rice coal and wood chips. Both hydraulic lines had to be replaced after only two years because they are leaching so bad. Then the hydraulic cylinder started leaking and had to have the seals replaced. They are an absolutely useless company that wont stand behind anything and get offended for accusing them of making complete and utter junk. They blamed one of there employees that must have been working that day for not prepping the metal correctly. After speaking with 22 (not 2 but 22) different owners in my area who have various colors, years of manufacture and type of trailers but all PJ branded they ALL have the same issues! I spoke with the PA Attorneys General office and of course once the year is up PJ is off the hook for everything. One of our local very large rental places sent one back down to PJ because on its first day out it came back and after hauling a skid-steer the paint was starting to come off the outside sides. PJ sent it back and said it was misuse. Useless product and even worse people. Sorry for my rant but after spending over $10k it is sickening what they do to guys that are just trying to buy a quality American made product.

Thanks again,
Glenn

Sorry to hear about that. I've had my PJ two years now, nearly daily use, and it's still in great shape considering... No paint flaking off. I'm actually about to buy another PJ, a dump trailer.

That is a great idea, except I have other attachments to carry too.

Worse, all the trailer guys are in texas it seems and one, just one salt exposure makes the lousy, cheap powder coat paint explode off of the trailers because every trailer OEM is too cheap to use real automotive paint that could survive a mild saline-water exposure.

folks who know something different about trailer paint feel free to jump in as I'm in the market for a longer trailer with better paint.
Look into ABU trailers. They're made just across the river from me in ND. I've got an 18' bumper pull and 30' deck over gooseneck from them and they've held up great.

I've ordered a G.Gun for greasing up my equipment. A frustrating part of heavy equipment is greasing everything. After I saw this unheard of product from New Zealand I said, "Take my money!"

I'll do a video review of the G.Gun after I've used it for awhile and can tell you more.

Holy cow! You must put a ton of hours on huge construction equipment/etc.

It only takes a minute to grease the NX6010 and another minute for my skid loader with my Milwaukee grease gun.

Agree. I started with regular grease gun then "upgraded" to electric but found it unnecessary and more of a hassle than it was worth. I've gone back to a plain jane lever action Lincoln grease gun with a lock-n-lube tip. Works for me. Takes about four or five minutes to do tractor FEL and BH. One minute to do the flail mower. Happy camper.

Yeah looks like more trouble than it's worth for a tractor and loader.

I have some interesting evidence that, in real-worl use, hydraulic pressure does increase a fair amount with increased RPM (and thus flow rate).
So you hydraulic are not just faster at increased RPMs but also stronger.
I think this has been on this thread.

Um, have you been following this thread? Eric pretty much does put a ton of hours on his construction equipment, his tractor. I should think it needs a lot of grease. Also, I think he has some back problems, so maybe the foot operation is easier for him.

I do think it might be a little overkill though.
