A minor issue solved by yet another bungee strap.

why does the holddown bolt let go? Does it come out of the metal tab? or did the hold down bolt break? or is it just slipping out of the hole in the tab? If it is just slipping out, just put a little more bend in the crook of the bolt. I have never had mine move or loosen up or anything. and I go over a lot of bumps and a lot of hills.

Mine loosened up on my dk too, unfortunately one of the threaded rods was lost. Bungee for me too

As an operational update on my NX6010, after one month of sitting in the forest and receiving a total of seven inches of rain, and not being started, the brake safety switch became flakey. With the parking brake on, my tractor did not start. To my ear it acted like a flat battery. After the battery passed a load-test, I then found the fault with the brake pedal safety switch. After about 40 pumps on the brake pedal the switch started working normally again, a thing that I found out just as I was making a YouTube video to document the fault (cameras make things work, see).

Anyway, all fired up, I made a different video.

Nice video, Eric. Nice trailer also. New? Looks like it'll pay for itself quickly on your project!

On the NX brake safety switch, had you left the brake lock engaged for the month? I haven't looked into it, but I'm assuming it's a normally open switch that closes when the brake is on. I usually leave the brake/brake lock off when parked for very long, if the tractor's level and the FEL bucket and rear implement are down. But that's just because I don't like the idea of the brake lock's spring being constantly compressed. Wondering if it might also avoid the issue you had from long exposure to the weather.

I've had this trailer for a couple of years. I originally purchased it just to clean up windfalls, material transport, and to haul what I planned would be a sub-compact tractor for use at the five acre lake place. Then I stumbled upon the new place and bought it sight unseen. Now, like my 20' trailer, I wish I had purchased a bigger dump trailer.

Brake switch wise I hadn't considered your idea. I simply left the parking brake on because that's how I always park it.

Anyway, too much of this prompted the dump trailer purchase.

I forgot to post a photo displaying how the NX series draws air in under the hood as something of a follow-up on my thermostat swap.

Under a full load in medium with my rotary cutter, the temp gauge climbs and I presume that the tractor would eventually overheat if everything is as plugged as shown in photo below. This loaded up, the tractor will also run too hot in high gear as well. Blow everything out and it is all good. After the first time the temp gauge climbed above normal, I've learned to keep an eye on it when mowing down tall grass and chase back to the truck and clean things out as needed.

Speaking of blowing out the oil cooler, radiator, and condenser, I really like the Radiator Genie wands. So much so I did a video review earlier this summer.
