That is a good one. I will probably get the opportunity to use that within the next week or so.

Whoever Mr. Heinlein is or was, I would love to have had dinner with him.

Robert A Heinlein was most well known as a science fiction writer. His most well known book is STRANGER IN A STRANGE LAND. My favorite book is a collection of short stories, following a common outline written over about 25 years, called THE PAST THROUGH TOMORROW. A quick google of "Heinlein quotes" would be very entertaining, & maybe enlightening.

Well, the planer works so well

Stuck my finger in it yesterday and now I have to wait for the pain killer to kick in for me to go sleep.

The jointer knives should be generic and will come in different quality steels.

I sharpen mine freehand on a slow speed wet stone. Every so often I take them to the local hardware which sends them out to be sharpened by a fellow who has the proper tools. Surely beets my efforts.

Keep several sets of knives. Use one special set for the good stuff. Use the other for general duties.

Mine was new back 1972.
