My New Wolo Light

I wanted to get a cheap amber warning light for the BX...I started by looking at the light Harbor Freight sells. They did not have one in the store, so I got rain-check (it was on sale)...They said more would be on the truck Wednesday. I ended up going back to HF before then...I noticed that they now did have a light on the shelf, but the box was all beat up and the light was broken. So, I came back Wednesday when they said the truck would be in, and they only had the broken one. The rude cashier said to come back NEXT Wednesday. :confused2: At this point I was fed up, so I started searching the internet for a similar product. Came across this Wolo at Amazon:

Got the light in a few days, but when I tried it out the plug was broken...ugh... One the wires was out of the connector. I taped it a little so I could see how the light worked...Worked pretty good...So, I let them know and they sent another out. It arrived today, thankfully functioning properly.

We have several of those with 2 pin flat trailer connectors on them (the plugs broke in the winter).
They work well, I used silicone "adhesive" to stick a piece of galvanized metal to the roof of the BX2660 cab. I put the light up there for the winter and it stays fairly well.

Oh geez............it figues.

Looks like a bright light though, waiting to see the daylight video.

By the way, could you flip it over on the next video so I can see the bottom where the magnets are? I just want to see if it will fit on my ROPS well.

I visited their site, they didn't list the light like CompactTractorFan has, maybe it's discontinued?

The light I have, my son picked up at NAPA...........it can barely be seen in the daytime, that bothers me.

I would think a beacon needs to be bright enough to get other drivers attention in their auto's with smeary windshields. In the daytime is the way to check these out. I use a strobe on the 110tlb, decent for daytime use and very bright at night.

For anyone operating near or in the street get a good unit and get several of the bright red (lawyer) safety cones.

Kyle, your video showing that new light at night looked good . . . except I wondered if it wouldn't tend to blind the tractor operator at night with it on the hood. And with it on the hood, it wouldn't be seen very well by traffic approaching from the rear. On the roof of a cab tractor, on the canopy if a person has such, or on the ROPS would seem to me to be the place for it.

I did not find the light blinding me a problem, but it is better on the ROPS...that is until I forget about it and try to pull into the garage...

I will probably put it on the ROPS if I'm using it for extended periods...
