Nice setup.

I'd love to find out how much / what you can practically lift with the pallet forks. One of the reasons I haven't bothered getting a QA hookup done is that I haven't been sure how much usable capacity I'll have left after the weight of the QA adapter and forks is taken into account.

Interesting fact from this weekend. I was moving dirt with the FEL. I found out that if I tilted the bucket forward so the did not come over the top the bucket would not raise any more.

Rolling the bucket (very full bucket) forward shifted the weight forward enough that the hydraulics couldn't keep up. This shows the reductions in lift when the weight is forward.

Congrats! Great looking ride AND with all the "stuff" to go with it.

So how much land do you have there? Assuming you bought it for a reason? Farming? Construction?

Looks like a nice rig. What I find most interesting in your pictures is the concept of grass. We haven't seen of that here since Thanksgiving.

This weekend my wife and I are heading to Grand Turk Island in the carribean for a week of scba diving, so we should see some grass.

I know it can lift 400lbs evenly across the forks but if I put my fork adapter on and try to lift 400lbs from the tips of the forks it will not budge.

Not sure how much I can lift with the forks but my forks are very heavy. I wish I would have done more research before I bought them but that's the one item of my purchase that got by me. there has got to be some lighter forks out there somewhere.

I only have @ an acre.

It don't hardly ever snow around here so the grass just gets less greener in the mild winters we have down here.

What's a snow blower?:D

Looks like you have the same Bradco forks I have, yes they are heavy but you can take the forks themselfs off and just use the plate and use the D ring with chain to carry something if need be, I use it regularly to load up a 67gal propane tank I use for my trailer.

I have owned a 3400 HST since November of last year. I bought the tractor and implements with the idea of cutting pasture grass (about 6 acres) and doing mainly dirt work. A few days after the tractor was delivered it snowed and covered the grass and then it snowed every few days for the next two and a half months. I wasn't being naive when I bought the tractor; here in Central Utah we have had by far the most snow in 15 years.

I used the tractor almost exclusively for the first 50 hours moving snow. I don't use a snowblower or blade; just the FEL to lift the snow over fences so the horses weren't standing in snow up to their bellies! I use an ATV with a plow to push the snow and the tractor to move it.

I have used the FEL to lift 1200 lb bags of hay cubes out of the back of my pick up. I can lift them out of the truck and lower them to just above the ground and tram them to where I want to store them but I can't lift them back up to the bed of my truck. I am right at the maximum lift capacity of the FEL lifting the bag of hay cubes. I doubt if I could lift a bag of hay cubes on a pallet out of the truck if I had a set of forks for the L3400. But for lifting lighter things which can be placed on pallets the QA set up might be great.

The weather is warming here and the snow is melting and now I am using the FEL to drag the mud so it will dry out.

I have been very pleased with the performance of my L3400 and realize it won't be long before I can use all the 3 pt attachments I bought which haven't been used yet.

I think you'll love your L3400....I do.

Tom

I ordered some lighter forks from Melonzi INT. they shipped Friday. I'm trading those I bought and selling the traded ones. The new forks weight are 120lbs and are rated for @2000lbs lift but the forks are only 42" long. My salesman should haver sold me those heavy forks in the first place. I guess It is really my fault for not researching enough.

BTW I did get Top but not tilt.

Used the PH digger yesterday... Ya'll ever try to drill MUD.:(

What do you have on the back of your tractor when you lift the hay out of you truck.

Nice looking haul! You will certainly have enough tractor and equipment to take care of that one acre! Look out neighborhood. What is the make of the tiller?
