JD 1050, JD 1070 4wd, 332 JD diesel lawn tractor, Turner firewood processor, Hydraulic belt conveyor, 2005 2005 F550 dump/plow truck, 89 JD 670 4x4 garden tractor.
Been working this winter on bumping up my firewood toys. Have a look~ Bought a new firewood processor from Turner mills in new york-TurnerFirewood Processor also repainted my 5x10' pronovost dump tailer and added a firewood tailgate in place of the dirt gate it had and added a headboard and 2 tier oak sideboards. And took a hay conveyor and turned it into a WONDERFUL firewood conveyor, by putting an axle and tongue under it and built a wooden trough and aluminum hopper . Tried this and it works Remarkably well.
This is for my home operation, I burn 20 cord of wood per year.

No kiddin....... I'd like to see this stuff too.

Paste his link into the address bar of your browser (or click the one I'm adding below), they're all in facebook. Very impressive, but a lot of money if you're only doing it for yourself. I'm thinking you could buy split, dry wood and have somebody stack it for you for about 10 yrs for the price of that processor! Very nice none the less, and yes, that is jealousy talking.

You have to be signed in to Facebook to see them. That's some serious toys.

I too would like to see your pictures!!... I've been planning for a couple years now to have a firewood conveyor... Have everything set up next to my log-splitter, and when I split the wood I could throw it on the conveyor and load my firewood trailer!!:)

Every year when I cut firewood, I'm always trying to find a way to cut down on handling the wood so much!!... Last year I started putting some firewood on pallets and that helped a lot!!... I cut 17 cords of wood last year!

(If you need help posting pictures... Let me know and I can show you how to!!:))

The processor I paid cash for. Saved for over 10 years for it. that tractor and dump trailer has been paid for for a long time. My next venture is a newer F-350 with a dump and plow. long driveway ya know. :) life is good!!
you wouldn't know it, but that trailer is 30 years old. One of the upgrades I paid for on the processor is I had Bill Turner plumb another valve at the end of the row so I could run a hydraulic conveyor should I want to. But here's the thing. That 3.5 hp Briggs will run that conveyor all day at an idle and if anything hitches up the engine just stalls out. and it does it on less than 1 gallon of gas (9-10 hrs) I have the lines all plumbed to a nice danfoss motor but i'm reluctant to mess with it because it's already PERFECT.

If I had to process 20 cord per year, I would be definitely looking at better equipment. Fortunately I only need 3-4 cord per year.

Nice equipment.

The wood on the conveyor is held in place by approx. 10 u-shaped clips on each side that attach with 2 screws each. The hopper I made from a large aluminum composite sign I had laying around since the 70's. I made the brow because it wasn't quite reaching the front of the trailer as the wood fell in. "whatever you do, or dream you can, BEGIN IT!!! Boldness has genius, power and magic." I read that this morning, rather inspiring I thought. Other than paint and a two hundred dollar motor for the conveyor, I did the upgrades with stuff I just had lying around.

Wow ! 20 cord a year, you might want to invest in some insulation. My house is 3200 square feet and my shop 2100 and my garage detached is 800 all heated by wood, some forced air propane in my house and I burn 6-10 cord a year, how do you burn 20 cord of hard wood.

Would you mind me asking what that processor costs? If you don't want to give the price in public, just PM me.... also would like to know where you bought it.

well, when I just heat the living area of my home I burn between 8-12 cord. When I heat the attached green house, 3 stall tie-up, mechanics garage and woodworking room and library it's again another 10-12 cord. The processor cost me $15000 with the couple small upgrades I had tacked on. plus $600 to have it shipped here.

Where's the automatic wood stacker. (I figure if I ask enough, someone will invent one)

You asked, just aim your conveyor into the centre:D
