I have had my B26 for 2 weeks now and it is the best toy er tool I have ever owned. It has the optional quick release loader and backhoe buckets, thumb, stabilizer pads, and work lights. It is a 2008 with 75 hours on it. I think I got a pretty good deal on it from a private seller through craigslist. I paid $26500.

Yesterday I picked up a brand new Land Pride BB2560 for $590. It is a 2006 model but it has never been used. It had a couple of scratches and a little surface rust along the edges and it was missing one of the 3 point hitch pins. I got one at the hardware store for 5 bucks. Brim Tractor in Washington and Oregon is getting out of the Land Pride business and selling everything they have left at cost. I got the last BB2560 but the have some BB2566 left for $625.

The B26 has already made quick work of clearing brush, digging out stumps and moving rocks. I am looking to add a grapple to help clear the rest of my underbrush and debris. My wife told me to find something to get me away from the computer. I always do as I am told.:D

Congratulations!! I got mine in May at 300 hours and I've put another 40 hours on it since then.

I'm completely satisfied except for one small thing which I've fixed. The leveling pads are smooth and tend to slip when using the backhoe. I bought two pieces of 10" X 10" X 1/4" plate steel. I then welded two pieces of 1" 1/2 X 1" 1/2 scrap angle iron onto the plates perpendicular to the tractor. I used the existing pads as drilling templates to drill the mounting holes. I installed the plates and it's made a world of difference. Best of all is I didn't modify the tractor at all, just bolted on two plates.

Keep the routine maintenance up and your tractor will likely outlast you.:D

Congrads on the getting a real backhoe. I have mine about year and really like. One the backhoe pads flip them over and you will be able keep it where you want. I have 3 buckets a 12"18"&30" have fun digin. When you get pallet forks for it don't get ones that are to big for it. It sounds like you got a good deal on it.

I was wondering about that. Tried looking for a picture of the stabilizer pads on a B-26. How is the power with the B-26? What about the speed on the 3 ranges. Is medium range pretty decent? Do you know what the speed for each range is roughly?

Here is a shot of my pads. These are the optional tire rubber pads. These and the stock ones flip all the way over for different terrain. The rubber part just bolts on so it would be fairly easy to fab whatever you wanted to attach to the stabilizers without having to modify the machine.

The speeds according to the owners manual are about 3/5/11 mph and about 10% less in reverse depending on the tires. I haven't had it out of mid range yet except for driving it off the trailer so I can't say much about that. In mid range it goes plenty fast enough for my bumpy terrain.

What is the power like in high range. Can you use the loader or does it pretty much load up?
