I am a homeowner in western-upstate, rural New York State. I am hopefully going to retire (semi-retire) soon.
I am not a farmer although I have worked a little in the field and am very familiar with agri-science, mechanics, machinery of many types, chemistry, hazmat, transportation, computing (hardware and software) and many other areas.
I am interested in logging my approximate fifty acres of trees for both good forest husbandry/preservation and to make a couple of bucks. My intention is to slowly fell and pull trees out myself. When I get a salable stack along the road side of my property I will attempt to sell them where they lay or get them to a fairly local market
