I would say even if you bought all the weights it would not be enough. The 990 weights are only 42 lbs a piece. If you got 6 of them that is only 252 lbs. The extension bracket with 12 mounted would probably do it, but that is also a lot of $$ in weights and the bracket. I assume you are trying to save $$s because you won't have a loader.

My dealer wanted me to get the MX6, but I felt it was too heavy. He had me take one home and run all over with it to see. If you don't have a loader, you will certainly need all the front weights, maybe a route other than Deere's. I'd also consider loading the front tires with foam and adding wheel weights. Or get a loader!

I love the MX, but you might be better off with another brand, to get something with the .25 inch sidewalls, without being as heavy as the MX...

I have a 990 with an MX5 and it pulls it fine. An MX6 would
certainly slow you down in the rough stuff.
