I've finally settled on an MX5200HST with R1 tires and still waiting on final pricing. The question I have is what size attachments would be best, 84" or 72"? I'm looking to get the following:

-rear mount snow blower
-Landpride RC1884 offset rotary cutter
-box blade
-grading scrape
-York take
-harrows

I currently have an old John Deere 550 rototiller I'm hoping I can offset enough to cover one tire track at least.

Thank you!

Will you have a 4-WD or 2-WD tractor?

-box blade 72" Minimum 600 pounds of Box Blade weight, 750 pounds of Box Blade weight preferred.

-grading scrape

-York rake 84" or 96" Landscape Rake should cover your tire width when set on an angle. Buy heavy.

-harrows Disc Harrow? Minimum pan diameter of 22", 84" width.

I guess I also need to measure the tire width in the rear first to see how much it covers! I might be using box blade to grade paths in the woods for logging and walking paths.

Kubota's paper catalog specs MX series tractors @ 69.7" with R1 tires.

You will likely use your Landscape Rake more than Box Blade for trail maintenance.

For establishing trails and roads in woods a Ratchet Rake bucket attachment is nigh indispensable.

I have a 7 ft rear blade on an MX5100. It just covers my tracks when angled, but you can set the offset to either side for ditching beyond the tires. Seems OK for that size machine.

T-B-N ARCHIVE "CALCULATE WIDTH LANDSCAPE RAKE:" Google

Before committing to a rake, wait for your tractor to be delivered and measure your actual outside-to-outside tire width.
Top quality Landscape Rakes have built in offset-adjustment. "Value" rakes do not.

The Ratchet Rake is far better at collecting and piling organic debris than a Landscape Rake. But a Ratchet Rake cannot be angled to move dirt along the face of the rake for road and trail grading.
