Put some good hours on the tractor as I had some lumber milled for my barn project. There were three of us and we did Jst shy of 6000 bf in about 12 hrs.

Yeah and the sad part is I only have about half what I need. I need to round up quite a few more poplar logs this winter.

How much weight do you have in your wheel weights? Are your tires filled also?

I believe the weights are around 100lbs a piece and I'm running two on each side. Tires are loaded with rim guard and it's still not enough. I have a sheet of 3/8" plate I'm gonna make a skid plate out of. That oughta add some weight...

I agree, not enough. I keep my 550 lb box blade on the back all the time for loader work. The rear tires are filled with water and wiper fluid. I could use another 500 lbs. I've been looking for some old cut up railroad rails to add to the top of the box blade. My 1,100 lb 3 pt backhoe definitely makes a difference when it's on the back, it just sticks out too far when it's on.

Over the years I've done a lot with misc iron on implements but on tractors the best I have ever found is factory wheel weights. They might cost a little more but they work better than other options I have tried. Just my two cents here.

Some suitcase weights work on some box blades

The lack of rear end weight is my biggest (only?) gripe about this tractor. I wish kubota would design another 600lbs in the rear end. With that said...I need a skid plate badly anyway so I'll get her fixed up. I may also build a weight box I can hang on the back of my skidding winch to add some extra heft when loading logs. At almost 800lbs the winch still isn't enough at times.
