The MX15 flexwing seems to be only 15 ft flexwing coming from the "bigger" manufactures to not have any sort if suspension system, whether it be springs (e.g. Woods) or rubber cushions(e.g. Bush Hog, Rhino).

John Deere says that the rubber tires on the MX15 provide "enough shock absorption for the duty level the MX15 is designed for".

The HX15 has springs on all of the axle assemblies, but is about 3-4k more than the MX15. If I'm not mowing in extremely bumpy pasture, would the spring system of the HX15 really be needed?

Unless the tires are air or foam fill, I see no suspension from the tires. Have you priced the other brands?

The tires are air filled. JD does not offer the solid laminated tires on the MX, and I suppose that's why; there'd be zero cushioning with solid tires.

I would want some kind of suspension and flat proof tires.

If you're mowing reasonably flat fields and there's not a lot of bigger debris (roots, branches, shrub clumps) - what's the problem? Unless you're mowing @ 15mph the wings shouldn't be bouncing and the hyd cylinders will absorb some of the shock as well.

You can always have the tires filled with foam, too.

A significant difference between the MX and HX is the Hp rating's on the gearboxes and the driveline. If you don't see a need for that performance margin; you likely won't need the additional suspension, either.
