what is a good box blade for this machine and can you float the 3 pt on this?

As the Three Point Hitch relies on gravity for down pressure, "float" is your only option.

MX5000 weighs 3,500 pounds bare tractors, about the same as my L3560.

MX5000 width is 62" with R1/ag tires, therefore around 66" with R4/industrial tires.

Some MX5000 are 4-WD, some are 2-WD.

Either should pull a 66" or 72" wide Box Blade. The 4-WD will pull the Box Blade full, 2-WD may only pull 2/3 full.

Buy the heaviest 66" wide Box Blade your budget allows.

IF YOUR COMPLETE LOCATION WAS INCLUDED AS PART OF YOUR T-B-N PROFILE I WOULD RECOMMEND VENDERS.

Land Pride makes some good quality box scrapers. I have their hd 7' retractable ripper model. i'd say a hd 6' retractable ripper would be in order for your model. if you make the investment, consider a hyd top link, invaluable for earth engagement attachments
btw once owned the MX5000. a great no nonsense machine a step above the sub compacts.
again, recommend retractable rippers & heavy duty in whatever blade you decide
