Ballast MT372D - front end weights

I am new to the list; my 372D has worked well for many years, but I wish I had purchased front end weights when I bought it many years ago. The front wheels often leave the ground when loading it on a trailer. Can weights be purchased or is it easier to "jury-rig some weights on the front end?

They can be purchased at any tractor dealer but they are very expensive. Sometimes you can find used ones but I've found they're also expensive. Try backing your tractor onto the trailer. That's what I do.

A welder and some heavy can make some fine weights.
I used two 25" cut sections of RR track, "I" beam and some other assorted gussets and came out with 179lbs of ft. end weight that doesn't look bad. I can carry a 35gal tank of water on a frame or mow with a 42" BH witout getting air on the ft. end.
