I'm not lifting anything super heavy so I got mine at TSC, I think about $13 or 14 bucks. I was just at Harbor Freight and saw some bolt on hooks for $10 ea. I'm going to get 2 more of those. They also have the 1/2" shackles on sale for $5, the 3/4 shackles for $10. Can't beat those prices. I put the shackles on my mower and box blade so lifting them is a breeze.

I just remembered to take pics of the stabilizer "feet" that I put on the BH. The holes were there on the BH stabilizers, just had to drill the angle iron. Took all of about 30 min to do. Made a BIG improvement.

Oh, another maintanance tip.... If you look at the grease zerk on the stabilizer in the previous pics, it has a rubber "cap" on it. Every zerk on the tractor now has them. Keeps them nice and clean, ready for greasing. Only lost one, I think I brushed against one and knocked it off. Bought a pack of 50 for around $12 bucks on Ebay. They come in all colors, which helps to find all the zerks also.

That is a great idea. The angle iron must act like cleats. I need to learn how to weld but nice that you didn't have to drill the stabilizer feet.

Another great idea. Do you use a regular grease gun, air powered, cordless??

You don't have to weld for these. You can get a 3-4' stick of angle iron at pretty much any hardware store. Just cut it to length, drill matching holes to the stabilizer feet and bolt on.

The first time I lubed everything, I used my cheapie manual one. Went and got an air powered one at O'Reilly's auto parts ( Lincoln brand). Never looked back! Made it much, much easier. I use a coiled air hose, so it reaches all the way around the tractor w/o any problem.

I have all Dewalt cordless tools. I may try their cordless grease gun. Plan B is the air powered gun. Hopefully it's better than Dewalt's cordless caulking gun which is very messy to use.
