mower won't lower

My BX 2200 Kubota mid mount mower won't lower. I took the handle of and put vise grips on it and it won't move. Any ideas?

3 things to check, lower/lift 3 point lever on the side, should be lowered, lower speed rate knob below seat, and the height setting knob below seat.

If height setting is at the top, raise 3 point all the way to take pressure off cam and then set height and lower.

If the lower rate knob is closed all the way and jammed, you need to get penetrating oil along shaft and move back and forth until it breaks loose and then keep lubricated and move every so often so it does not do it again.

I believe you'll find your answer above. The speed of drop/lower rate control knob was my problem a couple of times.
