Mower Deck Coatings

I notice this week when I took the deck off our BX2670 it has pitted. I removed the deck every other time we mow and power wash it. (due to knee surgery I didn't wash out the last mowing last year) Just wondering if any one has put a coating on their decks to protect them and if so what did you use?

Go to Tractor Supply. They sell a mower coating that works pretty well. It has Teflon in it. Comes in a green can. Can't remember the name of it right now but if you ask someone there to help you I'm sure you'll find it.

PS. The poster after me nailed it. The EZ slide Graphite coating is what I used and it works great.

Years back I used a product that was a graphite paint. I believe the name might have been Slip Coat. I did a search for graphite paint. Here are three of the results:

This will sound strange but a friend used LINEX on his old sears mower deck. Worked well (His son worked for the outfit) - They media blasted it first per what he said. Per him it was so slick, nothing stuck to it. Down side it was also slick to step on per him.

powerscol - probably a pretty good, hard wearing coating. I've seen a semi tractor with spray on undercoating up about half way to the cab window. Rig must have done a lot of running on gravel roads.

Wonder if something like that would work on a loader bucket to keep wet clay from sticking?

I really don't think ANYTHING will keep wet clay from sticking. I have the entire underside of my Jeep commercial sprayed with an undercoating like Linex. Our local mud still sticks like glue. The undercoating is designed to prevent corrosion.
