I just got jd4100 w loader and rear ballast box. I won't move a ton of snow, but when I do... What is the easiest and cheapest way to do this?? I have heard that the loader will be useless? Any tips, tricks, ideas???? thanks

Carl, a blade is probably the easiest way to move snow, provided you have a place to push it to. Some have no choice, have to use a blower. Using what ya got would be the cheapest. You can move plenty of snow with a loader for sure. Level the bucket, push till ya fill, and go dump it. All the way foward on the joystick is float. Lets the bucket ride over the ground. Backdrag where ya can't push. Have fun!/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

carl,
Thats kinda depends on a couple of things.
Do you live in a snow belt area and how much plowing involved.

Bucket will do the job,but a front plow quicker and does a cleaner job also you can push the snow back futher plus pile it higher.

Just try what you have for this year, than you have a better idea what you would like for next winter.

Have fun and stay safe.
