Ok, it isn't that I am cheap, it is more that I have a lot of free time and enjoy projects. I have 2 older 24" snowblowers that run fine, but aren't really worth anything. Has anyone tried bolting or welding 2 snow blowers together and mounting them to their fel bucket? It seems like a very workable idea. It seems like it would be fairly easy to make a quick detach that would slide onto the bucket and bolt down.

I thought about doing this but figured a plow would be better. My biggest concern was the speed of the tractor moving compared to what the blowers could handle????

Yep, I agree. I'd have to control the speed, probably keep it in low gear. My BX1860 and loader works fine for snow on my 600 foot driveway, even handled the 17 inches we just got ok. But, I am starting to feel the need for another project...

I can't wait to see this. Please post pics as soon as you have it done.

Hey winddance, that's my idea! (Just kidding)
I've been dreaming about that since before I bought a tractor - 'cus I'm cheap and sometimes handy, too!
I've thought that the easiest way to move the chutes would be to install an electric actuator with wires and switches - no bulky hoses etc.
Fix the throttles wide open with an emergency kill switch just in case.
The feature that I'd like to have is the ability to lift the blower up high to knock off the tops of high snow banks.
That way when you reach the end of the driveway at the street you can see over the snow banks to know if traffic is coming down the road.

sorta of a redneck setup ?:D:eek:

Pull wheels off, put blower in bucket, strap it down good with rachet straps. attach cable to the auger drive for fast release shutoff. Start er up and let er rip!

@Radioman - You forgot the "put on the hat with 2 beer cans" step...

Please video all outings - this has YouTube sensation written all over the understory!

The hat with 2 beers is a given.

When or if you ever do this, I have to see pictures.

I wrote a reply, tried to be funny, but it was coming out sounding mean. Not what I wanted... Too grumpy from this weather in MN for my humor to work. So nevermind.

Anyhow, I wanna see pictures too. :)

I do suspect you will 'probably' need to stay in low gear as well!

over on plowsite.com there are some pics of a guy that put three of them in his bucket of his fel. He didn't have the chutes adjusted too great, there was snow going everywhere. I looked for the post, if I can find it I will put it up here, Really kinda redneck

I wouldn't want to have to run 3 motors to move snow and I would think one would throw snow on the other. I've thought about doing something similar but the obstacles have nixed it. I'd like to see you successfully do this.

This would be the perfect project for the guy that hung two front-tine tillers on the back of a Kubota GR2000 garden tractor. I agree, wouldn't want three engines running, where one would do the job. He did do some nice looking work; even painted them to match the 'bota.

I think it would be Painfully slow. i had a small snowblower, and it was really really slow, and I was just walking behind it, not trying to clean out a whole long driveway with a tractor.
Sure would be funny to see tho! Maybe you could get a small electric one for cleaning snow off of Decks, and you could work on spooling out the cord while you are waiting for it to blow the snow! :D

When it comes to snow removal I am a firm believer in the low bucks approach. This is a GREAT idea! Definitely pix!

I know, I know; get a backhoe attachment for your tractor, and attach the electric one to you boom, and use that for clearing your decks.

Wombat125, I didn't think of shooting it both directions, LOL.

Pendog, that video is funny. He's flying along, good thing it's fluffy snow.
