I dunno, on a busy road, a bunch of mad drivers trying to frantically get around you would not be enjoyable at all. And most of us CUT owners are going 10-14mph, max.

Trailering is definitely a chore and a risk, but it's good to keep your skills flexed periodically, I feel.

With a "Gear Drive" I see no reason it couldn't be....you'd just need another driver to steer the tractor and work brakes as needed. This is - of course - for a short distance. It's probably not practical, but could indeed be done without hurting anything in the machine. JMO.

I think Deezler made a good point. It all depends on the road you are doing this on. And I wouldn’t be surprised if someone gets a citation. On second thought I just would not pull it on a public toad

Why do you need to get your tractor to the dealer? Did something break?
Dealer is 45 minutes away and this is only because I can't figure out why my hydraulic pump is leaking. New O-rings. No cracks in the line. Bolts torqued tight. Just can't figure it out and I need to get this tractor back to work.

Check the law in your area.
Towing with just a chain is illegal in most places.
BUT, on some roads and for short distances are legal but may also have restrictions.

I have pulled one of my tractor's a John Deere 5093 E a geared tractor with shuttle shift from a field down the road from my house back to the barn where I could diagnose and work on it under the barn instead of in the dirt, it didn't hurt a thing.
