More useful weight box?

Nice, this is the sort of idea I'm looking for. Now I really need to get a welder! I want to build something just like that with some tool holders etc, and fill the bottom 6" with concrete.

Good idea about adding the concrete if you are wanting ballast all the time. I built this box just for toting things, primarily hauling firewood out of the timber. It is a little small (48"x30") but I wanted to keep it inside the tractor width for narrow timber trails. When I add rear remotes to the tractor, I'll put on a dump cylinder.

How about a generic palate fork? You could then stick a 200 liter barrel on it full of water for 400 pounds. You could also strap a nice wooden box to it for hauling kids and other stuff.

Personally, I don't like single-use solutions.
