Got my 4510 back after 12 weeks in the shop mostly waiting for a few parts, O ring and bushing.
With that delay the vegetation at the river (even with no rain for over a month) was over 3 feet tall. Ventured there slowly but still managed to snag a hidden fallen ash tree that broke the inlet connection on my aftermarket fuel filter system. Caught it before the tank was nearly empty and put on a vise grip to stop the flow. The unit is better than the factory one that got damaged at least three times but still in a vulnerable location.
Could not get the 7/8 inch inlet fitting to break loose. Did not want to tow it 3/4 mile out of the river basis and up a 75 hill. Cut the fuel line and placed a 3/8 brass hose connector and hose clamps to at least let me get back up on top. Will address getting the filter work done later or could add an inline fuel filter temporarily I guess.
Always something. If I just did field work it would not suffer all the troubles but the high vegetation and fallen timber make for problems.

With work like that I can see why you have a skid plate on your tractor. Can you fab a shield to protect that line? I always think of the power company tractors they use for cutting the transmission tower right-of-ways around here. They are caged up completely to keep stuff from breaking anything. Not good for servicing tho.

I have one started, just did not finish it. Close the barn door after the horse gets out.
