Yes, you can see the edge from D7E's place :D

Nice wind break you have around your set of buildings. Do you use any GPS guided ag equipment? I can't believe how far some of those things have advanced. Like fertilizer applicators and such.
Dave.

Yards tend to have good windbreaks here for those -40 windchills..No prizes for guessing which is the north side of the yards...We have gps only in the sprayer for pre-emerge night work as we use tramlines in emerged crops,I fail to see the need for gps and autosteer or justifying the cost ....Just another complication and the latest "must have" in my opinion as ours has not been all that accurate or that cheap to run/update...!

I guess the GPS makes a good news story but isn't quite ready for prime time the way it sounds. I didn't think about the updating issues. Hope it doesn't run on Windows

Here's my shots. The house is in the center of three fields. You can see the hay bails. Closer up shot is house and west field by the road.

Here's mine-- Lakes Region of New Hampshire from a T-6. Newfound lake.

Buzzed right over your house on that trip, Thomas!:D:D (My brother lives on Eagle Ridge road- apparently, the T-6 is rather loud, coming out of a dive at 170+ knots....)

@irvingj: Nice. I do miss New England and it's landscape. I also really like your "tripod" for the shot.

Couple different ways I think. One way is to hit the PRT SCR button on your keyboard, that takes a snapshot of what your monitor is displaying and puts it in your "clipboard", then go to MS PAINT or a photo editing software and paste it. Save as a filename then upload like any photo. I think Google earth has an option where you can save the current view as a file. Google maps you would have to use like I said above, unless there is a save as file option Im not aware of.

I can't fly but here is the Google Earth picture of my place in Brittany. The grey/brown right half of the photo is our side of the Atlantic ocean, apparently taken at low tide.

I am feeling left out here too Jimmy! No chopper, no plane. Last time I looked at google maps, our house wasn't even there! I don't exist :D

That looks like a nice location. Presumably, you are on the west side of an inlet, because the Atlantic should be to the left of your photo

Just kidding.

Is that a tidal basin sort of waterway? I imagine it is full of saltwater critters.
Dave.
