Mold in sprayer

I've got what looks like some green mold inside my sprayer. Don't know why it's there. Would Chlorox harm my pump if I put some in the sprayer?? Any other thoughts on how to get rid of it?? TIA

Don’t know what kind of sprayer you have but I run bleach through mine a few times a year and have no issues. I also flush it with water after every use.

If you have viton seals your pump should be ok. Rinse with clear water. However most weed killers or fertilizers will kill mold at spray able mix levels.

If I leave weed killer in my sprayer over a month to so; It gets some type of mold or algae in it that cogs everything up. I then run bleach though it and everything works fine and is back to normal. Before cold weather I run a little bit of pink RV antifreeze though it, so the pump and valve don't freeze and bust.

I use the outdoor cleaning bleach. It's a lot stronger and will ruin your clothes if you get any on you, but I really like how quickly it works.

I clean it thoroughly after each use. I'm a little nervous about running bleach through it (Seals??), so I was looking for a bleach alternative. Thanks for all the replies thus far.
