Foggy,

I remember seeing that picture shortly after buying my tractor. It was the driving force in making my gaurd. That picture potentially saved my hundreds of dollars in the same accident. That is what makes this site so great. We can share our experiences and advice with anyone. I wonder how much time and money has been saved in repair bills and scrapped projects. Thanks to all for your input.

I wanted to add some front end protection for moving firewood and brush around. I looked at the prices for the deluxe guard from John Deere and about fainted. My 3320 had the standard guard on front with the 300cx loader. I made the wings out of 1" EMT conduit 90 degree sweeps. Not the strongest of tubing but it should work. I just added some expanded metal and painted it up. I was able to keep it in tight, about a 1 inch gap, to the hood so I can still park the loader. Total cost of about $30.00. About a $250.00 savings. Dont worry, I already have plans for that money. :)

That's very impressive!
