Oil & Fuel Mobilfluid 424

Blew a pinched O-ring on the spoolvalve endplate on my RX7320 and pumped a lot of hydraulic oil out (ended up having to add 4 gallons to fill it back up). The manual was very specific about what fluids were compatible and the generic Tractor Supply 303 was not one of them. The Kioti branded fluid was higher than a cats back so I called the oil supplier in Austin that we get a lot of weird oils for my cnc mills from (they are the local commercial Mobil dealer) and they carried Mobilfluid 424 which was on the approved list. Ended up being $39 a 5 gallon pail delivered so I bought the 4 that they had in stock. 424 is also a listed as a direct swap for Kubota UDT. I have about ten hours to go until the 50 hour service, so one less thing to buy.

Well if Mobil says it meets spec you just saved a boatload of cash. Nice.

I couldn't imagine Mobilfluid 424 for that price. I paid over $90 for a 5 gallon pail some years ago. I went to Kubota SUDT2 now that the Kioti is out of warranty. I believe the Kubota semi synthetic is a better fluid for a HST equipped tractor, but the Mobilfluid 424 was a good fluid. So if you got it for $39 a pail, you stole it.

Also being in Texas, you probably are not concerned with cold weather, like we have here at times. That is one reason I looked into the SUDT2 for it superb cold weather qualities.
