Bought a D1550 4WD a few weeks ago. Just bought a new FarmTrac 60" finish mower. Does anyone know where I can get a PTO adaptor to go from the splined shaft on the machine to the 6 spline female coupler for the drive line shaft that came on the mower?
Also, where can I find an air filter.
Great little tractor just new to this forum and the whole compact tractor thing. Grew up in the midwest and our equipment used to use this equipment for ballast.
Thanks.

I think I saw those adapters at TSC when I was looking into getting one of those over-running PTO clutches for mine.

The adapters do add length to what sticks out of the tractor and I am almost certain that I saw over-running clutches that fit one spline-size on the tractor end and normal spline on the business end.

Does your tractor have "live" PTO ??

My 1972 Mitsubishi has standard size/spline PTO-shaft.

I,too, am more used to big monster John Deeres, 4320s, 4520s, etc; I love the big 20 series; John Deere should have quit right there and made all the rest of them just like those.:)

Thanks BearKiller. Had tried TSC but the the plined coupling they sell is 1 3/16" my splined shaft is only 1". Going to try a PTO shop tomorrow. Again, thanks for the help.

I went through this with my 1450 recently. I use it with a RM-48 Woods mower. I used an adapter on it for years and always had a wobble in the pto. It felt off-balance pretty bad. I was able to order a yoke from Woods that will fit the shaft on the tractor. This eliminated the adapter and the wobble. It cost $54.00 including shipping but to me was well worth it. It is the 18 spline, 25 MM yoke. Took a while to get it though and if you go the same route you will need to see if the cross is the same as yours before spending the money. If you have a PTO shop they may be able to come up with exactly what you need. Good luck. You will like this tractor. I also have its non-grey brother, the S-470 Buck. Dad bought it new. Tough as nails.

Thanks Oliver. I will definitely check out Woods as well as the PTO shop.

The Woods part number is 27359 for the yoke (and only the yoke). My dealer's parts man first told me I'd have to buy the half shaft and it was approximately $194. I'll have to get the number for the cross when I get home. Welcome to TBN!!

Very Much appreciated Oliver.

OK, the cross number is 6N. The cap diameter is 31/32" and the end to end measurement is 2 & 5/16". The cross on your 5' mower may be larger. What type of shaft is it? Rectangular or other?

I have a pto adapter that fits your 1" shaft and converts it to standard 1 3/8. I also have the correct air filter. Contact me a satohparts.com. Send me an email vppinc@cox.net. Bill
