Mississippi Kite

This is the second time I've seen this bird or one like it. Both times it has perched in top of a Cedar in my front yard. I have heard they prefer nesting in pines so it's nest must be nearby.

Photos taken with a Canon Power Shot SX530HS point and shoot camera rested against a porch post. No way I can hold it steady freehand when I have it zoomed out this far.

I love watching them catch grasshoppers while I'm bush hogging. I've had as many as six buzzing me, after a few days they will get extremely close when they learn you..

There isn't another bird that can compare, ospreys are pretty agile also..
