This isn't as easy as it seems. Then again I never did much Mig welding. But I got the idea when playing with my new to me machine, and my old LN-25. I like to go through and find the best settings for me with each machine and write them down in a binder, or on the face of the machine.
Anyway here is some playing around with 2 1/2-inch schedule 80 pipe, 6-G open root. .045 Lincoln L-56 wire. 20.5-volts, and 105 for wire speed , LN-25 set on low speed. The two cap passes were run uphill.

I had to run one side right handed, and the other side left handed.

Here's some pictures of the inside of the pipe, I ran this down hill. 16.0-volts, 75 on the wire speed.

Thank you!
I actually thought this was going to be a piece of cake:rolleyes:, because Mig welding is so easy, but coming around such a small radius with the gun, and the Mig process being so fast, it was a challenge. I tried to do both sides right handed, from 6-0'clock to 3-0'clock to 12-0'clock backhanded just wasn't cutting it! I'll take SMAW, or GTAW over Mig any day for such a small radius.
