First Time Tractor Buyer. This will be for light to medium use on my 50 acres. I'm looking at an MF202, appears to be in excellent mechanical shape. Sheet metal is a little rough but not bad. Tires are not new but have a lot of life left. Asking price is $3850 with bush hog. Any thoughts or recommendations?

need a little bit more info...year hrs fel size and type of brush hog....you are in the right place though for tractor info...

With 50 acres, I'd want at least a 2 plow tractor, and a 3 would be better. Sooner or later you are gonna need one if only to reseed hay crops, and run a small baler. I'm not familiar with the MF202, but it sounds like a pretty good price, depending on the condition of the engine/drive train.

Here is a little bit more information: Year model-1971. Hours-unknown but I imagine they're pretty high. HP-35. 2wd (this model has a heavy-weight front end). The land is in Texas and generally flat terrain. Intended uses are mostly mowing, dragging and scraping.

I'd guess that would be enough for west Texas, as you can't reasonably grow hay there, but east of the hill country it'd be a bit small.

i cant find the mod. (mf202) u are looking at in the price referance guide ...this is not to say it dosnt exist..need someone who knows mf line better....anyway the the listings taht do appear with your hp output (mf 135thru mf150)showa price range from $2100-$6100 depending on mod and condition sorry i could not be more exact...

The 202 is an early 60s MF industrial tractor. They were built until 1967. Based basically on the MF 35,but upgraded for industrial use. Which tranny is in it? Manual reverser?
