MF 231S
I just purchased MF 231S with loader.

1) Do a neutral switch connect to the 2 green wires? I have to touch them together to start it. If so, can you send me photo of how it's connected? IMG_0980.jpg

2) Do the lever suppose to be in the up position or lie it is now? Also do it suppose to have pressure on lever to spring up? I know it's for the differential wheels. IMG_0981.jpg

3) Where can I get operator manual?

Well, your first two questions I am afraid I am not much help. However, both the operators manual and a service manual can be ordered thru any mf/agco dealer. Probably abour 40 dollars or per manual. If you plan on doing most of your own maintenance and repair, I'd recommend getting both manuals.

You are probaly missing a pto safety switch. And the pedal should have a spring return, maybe it just need some lubrication.

Agvg is correct. You PTO safety switch is missing (So is mine, same model) connect the two wires together and replace the PTO safety switch. The rear wheel lock up should return to the up (disengaged) position when you foot is not on the pedal. Check for a broken spring or corrosion as suggested. Mine took some penetrating oil to free it from corrosion and now operates correctly.

What would make one wheel just spend when it is under a light load? I was trying back up a 16' trailer not loaded up hill and left wheel just spend.
