mf 231 leaking oil

mf 231 leaking oil badly out of weep hole in belly of tractor....replaced rear main seal.....still leaking???anyone have anymore suggestions. My guy working on it is stumped...Thanks in advance

it can only be coming from the front of the transmission or rear of the engine. Engine oil and hyd oil smell differently if that helps.

its def oil......any other poss place it could come from..my guy said the orginal and the new seal looked fine when he got it apart...its back apart now

Sorry to hear this, seals can sometimes wear a slight groove into the crankshaft and not seal fully. I'm sure your mechanic checked this. Try a high mileage engine oil. It has a seal sweller additive in it. It may or may not help. How many hours are on the engine? Are you sure the pan gasket is not "sweating" oil?
