MF 165 identifaction

The serial number on my Perkins engine is 29D6387 -does this mean it was produced prior to May 31, 1966? Can any further identification as to the year be determined? Thanks

Should be a tractor SN tag on lower dash panel below battery cover, that is # needed to find build year.

Thanks - I will check. Also, I did talk to you last week concerning the injector pump. I am in the process of taking it off to send you - I will call to confirm the address,etc. in regards to taking it off - can I just remove the crankcase fill port small plate, than remove the 3 bolts from the gear - leaving the dowel pin and gear in place?
