Price Check MF 1528

Hello, I'm brand spanking new to this site, and was hoping someone could provide me with a price check on a 2005 MF 1528 HST, with FEL and 30O hours. Mint Condition. I'm at $ 11,750 with the guy (private seller), and I think that is as far as he is willing to go. I need to make a quick decission on this, as this tractor wont last long. My application is going to be bush hogging some trails in my 50 acres of woods, maintaining crop field edges, recent timber slash clean up, and less than a couple of acres of an old pasture mowing. Any help on that price, would be great. Thanks! If I buy it, I will need help on a bush hog purchase for this unit.

Thank you for the advice. I have been watching used prices in compact tractors in my market, and seems to be a fair price. Hoping someone could confirm that for me.

300 hours doesnt seem like very many hours for a 7 year old machine. But it could be. My older massey had an hour meter that only registered to 1000 hours and then turned over to zero again. Look closely at that gauge to see if it is a 3 or 4 digit meter. Could be it actually has 1300 hours on it. Does he have any service records or books?

They do exist! I have a 1528 that was 3 in May and it has 79 hours.

Did you buy it new or with that many hours

Bought it new! Main use is for snow blowing with a MF 1410 63" blower.

I have a 1526 and from the pictures I've seen the two of them look almost alike.

FWIW, last year, we bought a 2005 1533 with 350 hours, 4n1 bucket, 5' bush hog, 5' square tube disc and 4' box blade for $13,000. Buyer had ordered a JD 110 TLB and needed to part with the tractor so that played into the lower price, but there are deals out there.

my 1428 hydro has 364 hrs , bought it new . Last year got a 1533 ss now with 60 hrs . the 1528 your looking at is priced fairly but go look it over closely , run it up to operating temp while also watching the hour meter. bring a trailer, chain , binders, and CA$H ,offer what your willing to pay , and be able to walk away too .
